1971 BMW R75/5

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To take the engine and drivetrain from an untitled race bike frame and put it in a titled frame with the electrical system required to make it street legal.

What motivated you to start your project?

Had all the parts and a long Ohio winter.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Used a couple of nacelle louvres from a wrecked Cessna 310 to make the engine top cover. The seat base is a piece of wood from the old boxes that BMW used to ship their bikes over in, unbolt it and flip it over and the blue spray painted BMW roundel is there.

What are you most proud of?

Making a fun to ride bike out of a box of parts and Ebay, that looks nothing like anything else that rolls into Bike Night.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Man… that thing looks uncomfortable
