1972 Honda CI450

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To get a fun, cool bike back on the road.

What motivated you to start your project?

I bought a ct-1 from a friend and loved riding the scrambler style bikes,  though i really wanted to be able to go out and see more things and go more places.  A friend sent me the add for this bike and i loved the look and the 70s scrambler styling cues.  Being able to know and talk about the bike you ride is also a big draw.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

I slotted the seat mounting bracket to allow fitting of a cl750 tank.

What are you most proud of?

Sticking with the bike and getting it put back together.  Its not complete yet.  It needs timing set, some electrical issues corrected and to be run for the first time since the rebuild. But its exciting getting towards the end.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

So far, not much.  I cant ride it quite yet, and not many people visit the garage.
