1973 Honda CB 750

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Old school Cafe build.

What motivated you to start your project?

Owned a CB in the 70’s 1969.  Someone told me about a CB750 sitting in a horse run in barn so I went and took a look at it (2003).  It had a Vetter fairing on it sitting in dirt up to the axles.  Took couple of hours just to get it out of the barn. I always wanted another one so this was it.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

This was a complete rebuild except for the motor.  It had been wrecked and the electrics trashed.  The Vetter when to the trash. New wiring harness, cables, breaks rebuild.  Way to much to list.  I had to respoke the rear wheel.  I used a 17 inch rim so I could put a larger rear tire on the bike.  Four into one Mac exhaust  system. Drag bars and bar end mirrors. Other than that it’s mostly stock.

What are you most proud of?

The way it looks!  To me it is the most beautiful motorcycle I have ever seen.  I ride it almost every day.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Nothing and that’s the sad part.  I spent five years rebuilding this motorcycle and did such a good job no one see’s anything special.
