1981 HONDA CB750C CAFE RACER

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Build a cool Cafe Racer…on a budget. Yes, I spent more than I planned (like always) but it didn’t get completely out of hand.

What motivated you to start your project?

1Saw the bike sitting on the side of the road. Always, wanted a CB750. It was in great shape. Bought it for $1,000. Thus the project began.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Building the structure under the seat pan. Something you don’t see but it required a good bit of engineering and execution to make it work.

What are you most proud of?

The project required that I get some things welded. With that in mind I bought a TIG welder and did it myself!

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

The are amazed by the transformation. The tired old ugly duckling gets a new lease on life as a hot rod.
