I wanted to build a bike as a tribute to my fellow veterans. I have never built a motorcycle but decided to give it a shot.
I am a disabled Army veteran. I struggle with PTSD and my counselor told me finding something that would challenge my mind and keep me busy might help with my struggles.
I put so many little things on it that I don’t know what the most unique thing would be. But the bike is shaft driven and it was a challenge to hard tail the frame.
I am proud that I was not only able to save a bike that had a blown motor and was going to be sent to the junk yard. But I also was able to learn how to build a bike from the ground up. I have a motorcycle that no one else has.
Most do not believe me when I tell them it’s a 83 Honda. Most think it is a WWII bike. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from fellow vets. I never built this bike to win bike shows. But it is a crowd favorite everywhere I take it.
