1983 Honda XR200

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

To repair outstanding issues ie: ¬†broken motor mount, worn carb, clapped out suspension etc….When things started coming apart, the the list of issues started growing. It got to the point of might as well repair everything and try make it look cool as well.

What motivated you to start your project?

It was roached but I thought I could have some fun putting it back together.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Fabricated parts that were impossible to find: rear right side panel, rear chain guard. Front shield was also made to protect an XL headlight as I replaced the square stock unit. As I always loved the Cherry Red of the Gibson SG guitar, it was spraybombed that.

What are you most proud of?

That it fired up and runs great.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

” My dad used to have one of those” and cool bike.
