1984 Honda GL1200

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

Just eliminate all of the excess junk and try to make something cool.

What motivated you to start your project?

I had the bike stripped of the fairing, tank and bags in order to service the bike.  I noticed that the frame was actually good looking!  So I decided to customize the bike.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

Probably the tank shell. Deciding to create functional parts from found items purchased at antique malls.   For example WW1 binoculars turned into front turn signals.

What are you most proud of?

It’s been 7 years and I still enjoy just looking at it.  I’m really pleased with the stance of the bike. Turned a ratty ass bike that was literally in boxes and zip lock bags into a bike that garners compliments everywhere I take it.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Creative, mad max, steampunk. Coolest goldwing they have seen. They all admire the creativity and cant believe its a Goldwing.
