What was your intended objective when you started the build?
To build a bike from my late fathers bike that he would be proud of!
What motivated you to start your project?
The sportster was left to me by my Father who had past away from Cancer. I remember a conversation with him that he wanted a bigger bike cause he was 6′ 4″. So i both wanted to do something special with his bike and also some how make it the bigger bike he would have wanted!! I seen an add in American Iron magazine for Atlas Precision and there softail style frames that are built for Spotster motors. That sold me!! I had to do it. I had just gotten fired from my job so i took money out of my retirement and built it!
What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?
Building a Softail Sportster is the unique part i believe. I know its done broadly but in my area i dont see any! The Evolution motor is a great power plant i think and a prostreet type softail fram is the only answer for tall people!!
What are you most proud of?
im pretty proud of the lines of the bike the way my choice of wheel sizes, rack, frame size and exhaust style flows on this build.
What do other people say about your motorcycle?
“Looks like its from California” ive heard that one lol… mostly people like how “clean” the bike looks, lots of people are surprised its a Softail.
