I wanted to take the bike where the bike wanted to go. I’ve never really had to think about what I was going to do next. I’ve never had to decide which parts to use, what to do with the motor, how high the handlebars should be, etc. As odd as it sounds I would just look at the bike and know what it wanted.
I fell in love with the bike when I first got it. It was set up as a pro street bike but the bike wasn’t feeling it.
I like how it all came out but I’m especially proud of the finish on the bike. I intentionally rusted it. Are used to process that accelerated the rusting. When I got it to where I wanted it,it was clear coated. It has a texture which makes actually makes the bike feel alive.
That I actually finished It! That and Angus won the Harry J Wilkins award for the most creative a customized bike ( A local Harley Davison bike show )
I think most of them are surprised at the texture of the tins. That and the copper elements that I used. I inlaid copper on the riser, use copper tubing to run wires through, etc.
