2000 Moto Guzzi V11 Jackel

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I just wanted something different.  I wanted something you just don’t see every day or even once a year or perhaps maybe a life time!  I wanted something that loyal brand owners would scream taboo!!

What motivated you to start your project?

I had not built a bike since many years.  Then retirement came and I needed a project.  Finding this wrecked Moto Guzzi, which had been rusting away under a shed for almost ten years.  And hearing it call out to me.Help me I am dying was just more than I could resist.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

There are many unique things about this bike.  I think the custom hand built stainless steel exhaust, the all under the gas tank wiring and fuel pump set up, the keyless ignition and custom molded LED tail light/signal light combo are just a few.

What are you most proud of?

I am very proud of the paint job I did. It is candy blue over Nevada Silver with black accents which boast blue matching metal flakes. This was the first candy/flake job I had done since the 70’s.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Peoples first reaction is usually “What is it?” “Who sells those?” or “where did you find it?”
