2004 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I wanted to do the most traditional custom oldschool meets new school hardtail chopper out there. As days, turned to weeks to months it morphed from one idea to another. Until I finally stuck to one idea.

What motivated you to start your project?

What motivated me for this build was my last years entry with Bad Medicine. I meet alot of people threw last years build, I figured if Bad Medicine got that much publicity what if i did a from scratch hardtail frame up build. So far it has been even more radical an experience.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The most unique thing I did on my bike was a 1950s first aid box I used and fabricated to house all my wires, ignition, computer module and fuse box. I ran a kill switch instead of a key, toggle switch for power on, and push button ignition. Also has control panel for head light and extra aux hook up. Also I think the color scheme is to die for.

What are you most proud of?

I am proud of the whole build. I have never welded before, I did all the welding, all fabrication, all metal work, drilled and treated every hole in frame, put motor into frame by myself, painted entered bike frame and tins, replaced all gaskets and seal on motor, shaved cam cover myself, installed all cables myself, all oil lines, electrical lines, gas lines myself, and programmed module myself. Only had help with wiring.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

From lowbrow customs, tcbros, chicken fried choppers, and dice magazine mind you those are the TOP 5 people on my Instagram or Facebook who have given me huge props for my build. As far as just family and friends, my Facebook and Instagram have been blowing up with likes, comments and friends request since I posted my unveiling of “the Black Tooth Grin”
