2004 Honda VTX 1300S

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I wanted to give back to someone who had given us so much.  His Service and help training our dog.  I wanted to give him a sweet “bagger on budget” and since I had done a few of these over the years with VTX 1800Rs I was able to do so fairly quick with a little know how, “you tubin'” and some elbow grease!

What motivated you to start your project?

My friend (our Dog Trainer, who is a Purple Heart Recipient and USMC Veteran) mentioned he wanted a “bagger”. I had done a few of these conversions for fun and showed him  some pictures of them, stating I would be happy to help him do a similar one if he wanted to.  Within a few days his bike was sold and he was on his way to get the “donor” bike and BOOM! USMC Bagger was born!

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

The Conversion itself.  I converted it from a basic cruiser to a “bagger” and added reflective USMC “ghost” emblems to the bags and 3D USMC badge to front fender

What are you most proud of?

The outcome

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

They are quite shocked that it’s the same bike.
