2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 800

What was your intended objective when you started the build?

I want the old school bobber style, but with reliability.  My husband has his favorite  shirt, with Von Dutch pin stripping, and I want a bike that would present the old school  pin stripping well.

What motivated you to start your project?

Not being vary tall 5.1, this was one of the few bikes that I could touch the floor when sitting on it. Plus i had and idea of what I wanted in the look and style.

What was the most unique and creative thing you did to the bike?

We stretched the tank 3 inchs, which really gives it different look.

What are you most proud of?

Having a bike that i designed, and that we built solely at home.  I would give my husband ideas and he would do his best to make it as i wanted. Being a women, I did have a color selection problem.  The bike has been flat black, red, green and presently gloss black.  Thank goodness for an understanding  husband.  He never complained,  he just tore it down and repaint it.

What do other people say about your motorcycle?

Most people like and enjoy it.  We did a lot of one off custom work to it.  I was fortunate  enough  to win a number of awards in the brobber and metric class’s.
